§ 12.24.040. DISTURBING MONUMENTS, BENCHMARKS OR STAKES IN PATH OF WORK.

  • The contractor shall not disturb any monuments, benchmarks or stakes found on the line of the improvements until ordered by the Director of Public Works or his or her designee. The contractor shall bear the expense of resetting any monuments, benchmarks or stakes that may be disturbed without orders. Any monuments, benchmarks or stakes that are disturbed by work performed by the contractor shall be reestablished, and the corresponding survey documentation shall be submitted to the Department of Public Works.
