§ 17.28.050. BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD.

  • The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Insurance Administration (FIA) of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for the City of Anaheim dated September 15, 1989 and the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) dated September 15, 1989 and all subsequent amendments and/or revisions, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. This Flood Insurance Study and attendant mapping is the minimum area of applicability of this ordinance and may be supplemented by studies for other areas which allow implementation of this ordinance and which are recommended to the City of Anaheim by the City Engineer. The study and FIRMs are on file in the offices of the Planning Director and/or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim.
